Tusk preparing new full-length

In case you haven't heard, Chicago's Tusk, featuring three members of Pelican, joined the Tortuga Recordings roster in Fall 2003. The band, who recently released an album with Hewhocorrupts Inc., finished recording a new full-length, entitled "Tree of No Return," this past October. Here's what the band has said about the record: "It's a concept record, really both lyrically and musically, about a wanderer who gets lost in the woods and inherits dementia due to starvation." Although no official release date has been set for the album, look for it to hit stores in late-Spring 2004.
