ex-Suffocation guitarist diagnosed with blood cancer

Former Suffocation guitar player Guy Marchais was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier this month. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched on his behalf to offset medical bills. Here's the official word from his family:
"On January 19th, 2018, we found out that Guy Marchais was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a blood cancer effecting the body's immmune system and lymph nodes. This comes just 80 days after his niece was diagnosed with the same exact thing. Although not genetic, lighting struck twice in our family. I'm calling to everyone to donate what you can. Even with health insurance, bills are piling up in the thousands. There are many more tests to be done before starting his treatment plan on February 5th, which includes chemo and possibly radiation. Our family is struggling and could really use your help."
Earlier today, Marchais himself checked in with this update:
"I appreciate everybody's donation, it really means a lot to me and thank you for sharing my donation page. Please continue to share if you can, it really helps. Today I had a bone marrow biopsy and it was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. I got a few more tests this week and then February 5 I start chemo. Thank you again so much everyone."
