Unearth signs w/ Metal Blade

Massachusetts metal/hardcore outfit Unearth have officially signed with Metal Blade Records. Formed in 1998, the group has put out several releases over the last five years, including a full-length and an EP with Eulogy Recordings. Here's a statement from Metal Blade Records owner Brian Slagel regarding the signing: “We are extremely excited and honored to be able to work with Unearth. They are one of the leading bands of the new generation and we can’t wait to get started helping them achieve success.” Look for the group's Metal Blade debut to be available in Spring 2004. In related news, Mike Justain of The Red Chord will join Unearth on drums following the band's upcoming stint on the Headbangers Ball tour, replacing original Unearth drummer Mike Rudberg. Justain will still remain in The Red Chord as well.
