The Serenity Of Suffering, the twelfth studio album from California band Korn, sold roughly 55,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, bowing at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. The showing continues Korn's eleven-album streak of Top 10 debuts (their self-titled debut peaked at No. 72). Korn's previous album, The Paradigm Shift (2013), debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 after first-week sales of 46,000. Meanwhile, the band's 2011 release, The Path of Totality, sold 55,000 in its first week and landed at No. 10 on the aforementioned chart. The group's last No. 1 Billboard 200 debut came in 1999 with Issues, which sold 575,000 copies in its first week.
