Meshuggah album debuts in Top 20
The Violent Sleep of Reason, the new album from Swedish extreme metal act Meshuggah, has debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart on the strength of roughly 18,000 in first-week sales in the United States. This is essentially a repeat performance of the band's previous album, Koloss (2012), which sold just over 18,000 in its debut week and also bowed at No. 17 on the Billboard 200. Going back further, Meshuggah's 2008 album, obZen, debuted at No. 59 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 11,400.
