Silent Planet album debuts in Billboard Top 100
Everything Was Sound, the sophomore album from Los Angeles metalcore/post-hardcore band Silent Planet, sold roughly 6,900 copies in its first week of release in the United States, good enough for a No. 85 showing on the Billboard 200 chart. This is the group's first appearance on the aforementioned chart, as their debut record, The Night God Slept (2014), sold only 300 copies in its first week and failed to chart. UPDATE: Silent Planet vocalist Garrett Russell has informed us that the band's debut album, The Night God Slept, actually sold roughly 2,000 in its first week, but due to "some sort of scan error," most of its sales were counted towards the album's second week of release.
