Bring Me The Horizon score best album sales debut to date
That's The Spirt, the new album from British rock outfit Bring Me The Horizon, sold 62,000 units in its first week of release in the United States, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Of those sales, 55,000 were pure album sales, putting the effort at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.
This is both Bring Me The Horizon's highest charting and top selling album debut to date. The group's previous album, 2013's Sempiternal, sold 27,500 in its first week, bowing at No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
Bring Me The Horizon had this to say about their chart success: "Woke to the news this morning that we have a #1 on the Billboard Album Sales chart in the USA! U.S. friends, thank you all so much for picking up our new record. We'll be back on your shores in less than 2 weeks to thank you in person."
