Melechesh to release new album in February

Official press release: Mesopotamian thrashing black metal pioneers Melechesh return this winter with their sixth full-length album. On February 27th (EU), March 2nd (UK) and 10th (US) 2015, Melechesh will release Enki, the follow-up to their 2010 masterpiece The Epigenesis. With this deep and personal album, filled with metaphor and spiritual/philosophical references, Melechesh are yet again ready to spread their sonic magic and enlightened revelations to the cosmos! Founded by a young guitarist named Ashmedi in the city of Jerusalem back in 1993, Melechesh has always been a visionary band that invented a genre of its own. Melechesh spent one month in their rehearsal room in Hinzweiler (Germany) rehearsing the material, then entered a recording studio in Athens, Greece in an effort to capture the Mediterranean essence of the band's origins. Enki features 12-string electric guitars along with 6 strings, for a heavier and subtly richer harmonic sound. The band also tuned their instruments to the 432 Hz frequency rather than the standardized 440 Hz one, for a deeper sonic experience within the human psyche and in accordance to vibrations of the universe. Enki also features several esteemed guests such as vocalists Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Killer Be Killed) and Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ), as well as guest lead by Rob Caggiano (Volbeat, ex-Anthrax). With so many nationalities in the band these days, Melechesh has become more comfortable as being labelled an act from the planet earth rather than just Jerusalem, without adhering to any man-made virtual borders. To the band, this is metaphorical rebellion. Enki track list: 01. Tempest Temper Enlil Enraged 02. The Pendulum Speaks 03. Lost Tribes 04. Multiple Truths 05. Enki - Divine Nature Awoken 06. Metatron And Man 07. The Palm The Eye And Lapis Lazuli 08. Doorways To Irkala 09. The Outsiders
