Black Flag and Flag settle lawsuit
As you may recall, last August Black Flag founder and guitarist Greg Ginn sued ex-bandmates and members of Black Flag offshoot band Flag for trademark infringement. In October, Ginn's request for an injuction was denied, but other points of the lawsuit remained unresolved. Well, the legal battle is apparently over. According to The Hollywood Reported, the two parties informed the court on April 10th that they had reached a settlement. The details of the settlement weren't revealed, though Blag Flag attorney Evan Cohen says that Ginn continues to own the Black Flag catalog, name, and logo. Cohen added, "Flag gets to be Flag, and Black Flag as it is presently known continues to be Black Flag."
