Tool: "Work on the forthcoming album is ongoing"

This past week you may have read that Tool has completed work on a new album. Alas, the information is not true, and the result of an apparent misunderstanding between guitarist Adam Jones and a fan. The band has issued the following statement to Rolling Stone addressing the matter:
"Last night, Adam Jones, in a private conversation with fans attending the Portland Tool concert, joked that the band's new album was not only finished but coming out the next day. Unfortunately, his off-the-cuff joke was taken out of context. Work on the forthcoming album is ongoing and as soon as it is done, trust me, we will be the first to let everyone know."

Except the one real album necrophagist did, every track was good. Every tool album together accumulates like three good tracks.

I will never understand the appeal of this band. I'm fairly confident that 100% of their fans are unwashed homosexuals with below average IQs

Fans of 'Long repedative riffs and purposely weird vocals' are stoked. Boring.

Adam Jones has been done since 2010. Maynard's too busy dicking around on side projects to get on dat vox.
