Mayhem Fest 2012 adds Motorhead, Sumerian stage

Two notable developments have taken place relative to the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. For starters, festival organizers have now confirmed the addition of Motorhead to the lineup. Frontman Lemmy Kilmister commented, "Well, we're used to mayhem in this band, so it's kind of a family tradition! Bring it!" Motorhead joins fellow main stage acts Slipknot and Slayer, in addition to handful of other performers. Meanwhile, this year's Mayhem Festival will also feature the Sumerian Records Stage. Specifically, Sumerian will be bringing Upon A Burning Body, I The Breather, and one more act (to be announced) along for the ride. Additionally, organizers will be holding contests all over the U.S. for unsigned bands to win opening spots on the Sumerian Records Stage at the festival. The full lineup, dates, and venues for the festival can be found here.
