Relapse Records signs Red Fang
Official press release: Relapse Records is proud to announce the signing of Portland, OR's Red Fang. Red Fang (Brian Giles – guitar, vocals, Aaron Beam – bass, vocals, David Sullivan – guitar, vocals, John Sherman – drums) formed in 2005 and have released a critically-acclaimed self-titled debut full-length in 2009. The band has recently completed recording for their Relapse debut with producer Chris Funk (The Decemberists). The yet-untitled-album was mixed by Vance Powell (The Raconteurs) and will see an early-2011 international release date. Additional album details will be announced shortly. Red Fang commented on the signing: "We are f'ing stoked to sign a deal with Relapse. We had a great time recording with Chris Funk, mixing was finished back in February/March and now we are ready for it to hit the streets. We're still brainstorming a title for the unnamed beast ...and holy shit, get ready for new videos!" Red Fang's video for "Prehistoric Dog" was one of the more buzzed about videos on the web last year. The video, as directed by Whitey McConnaughy (The Gossip, Mudhoney, Flogging Molly), can be viewed online now at this location.
