Slayer cancels upcoming shows

Slayer has cancelled all of their currently scheduled shows due to the ongoing back problems plaguing Slayer frontman Tom Araya. The cancelled shows apparently include the group's American and Canadian Carnage tour dates, set to kick off on January 18th, in addition to the band's European headlining tour, slated for March/April. Slayer manager Rick Sales comments: "Tom gave various medical treatments more than a fair shot, but they just haven't handled the problem, so he's biting the bullet and is scheduled for back surgery at the end of this month. As unfortunate as this is for so many people - the Megadeth and Testament camps, the concerts' promoters, and, of course, the fans - Tom's health is the number one priority, and this has to happen." All tour dates are currently being rescheduled.
