Amon Amarth set to record new album

Swedish metal band Amon Amarth will enter the studio tomorrow (May 1st) to begin tracking their seventh full-length album. Tracking will take place at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren producing. The band comments: "We have ten killer songs, some classic Amon Amarth tunes, some really epic moments and some of the most brutal stuff we've ever written! We are confident that this will be our best and most diverse album to date! Jens Bogren will be producing the album, he produced With Oden On Our Side. We're looking forward to yet another successful collaboration. We'll barricade ourselves for the next month and a half. The album will be recorded in the traditional way, starting with drums, followed by guitars, bass, and vocals. There are plans for some cool guest appearance but nothing we can reveal just yet." The album will hit stores later this year via Metal Blade Records.
