Misclassifying expenses as legal fees to bury the source of funding to help a campaign is nothing new. And it doesn't result in prison time.
The Clinton campaign was fined for misclassifying opposition research for the "Steele dossier" as legal fees, specifically to obscure the funding and influence the election. Identical "crime". Same motive, same conduct.
The Clinton campaign was found guilty by a "federal watchdog" and fined and the DNC had to pay a $113,000 settlement.
So if Trump, illegally obscured expenses to pay squirrels Daniel's hush money and obscured the funding by labeling it as legal fees, at worst, he should be fined a couple hundred thousand.
Based on precedent.
