Saw this same concert but in the parking lot of the Trop in Tampa. Hatebreed was on of the small stage headliners if I remember correctly. The main stage was inside the Trop and low and behold BLS opened that stage up. Marilyn Manson tried to stick a water bottle in his ass during his set.

I got thrown in the back of a police cruiser for a few hours at this date for lighting off firecrackers in the parking lot. It was a $250 ticket. Then I got hammered drunk and my uncle and I snuck into the first few rows and saw Manson and Black Sabbath. It was a good day.

I watched their entire set the same year in Chicago. I was 14. It was f*cking awesome.

I was like 17-18, I had just graduated high school. Seeing slipknot at prime self titled times and link in park right after hybrid theory dropped was pretty awesome not going to lie. Also… American headcharge, taproot, spineshank, and nonpoint

Everything up to Lurk's very last sentence in this thread is f*ckin' awesome

Oh come on... at least 2 of those bands in that last line you can admit to enjoying.

I was definitely a nu lord for a while. I used to love Taproot - Gift.

At 17 I was seeing throwdown on a weekly basis.

Ozzfest, as an entity, was a mockable affair.

Biggest thing from 2001 was seeing hatebreed with bane and reach the sky. Or the Jane Doe tour with hopecon and AN.

Lol at nonpoint. Saw them play with Darwin's waiting room at some club a million years ago. Possibly spankys

Quiet, rat.

But to be fair, I grew up around the metal mulisha crews, skinheads, and skaters. Being a numetal kid wasn't allowed

Gift has its moments. For as Nu as it is, those guys were definitely into Sunny Day and it comes through.
