another school shooting

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:16:55 PM
i feel i can almost guarantee if we look at mass shooters since 2015 (give it a recent mile marker, maybe 2017, since theres sadly enough for that to be a statistical database), there are not many that take their own lives as opposed to being captured after they've filled their carnage quota.

VodkaVeins 5/24/2022 2:18:35 PM
The highest profile school shooters have all killed themselves. Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook...

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:18:59 PM
dude, three of those you mentioned are older than 10 years. really?

VodkaVeins 5/24/2022 2:19:28 PM
What does that have to do with anything?

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:19:29 PM
the Brits and their damned EMPRIRE!

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:20:03 PM
ummm a continuing trend of school/mass shooters getting taken alive and pleading insanity? almost like they're learning thats how you do it without killing yourself????

evil_hero 5/24/2022 2:20:37 PM
i get the side of like agonizing life in prison being a good punishment. i dont agree with that at all. these dudes do all sorts of shit in prison. write books, get married, get law degrees and get themselves out of prison. all that shit while on the public's dime. thats so f*cking WACK!!! blast these dudes at the scene of the crime if they dont already kill themselves

RAGINGf*ckMAN 5 minutes ago chop a head off on live TV and watch how many pop up in the next 4-5 years. Probably more. I doubt a society publicly allowing executions is going to make them *less* nihilistic.

evil_hero 5/24/2022 2:23:14 PM
the real solution is to stop glorifying it. but the media will never do that. stop naming killers and you might see some changes

RAGINGf*ckMAN 2 minutes ago ummm a continuing trend of school/mass shooters getting taken alive and pleading insanity? Works for me. Like i said...some want to die, but nobody wants to rot.

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:23:54 PM
that argument works for actual criminals, for real to life tangible outlaws or rule breakers, rebels... like ISIS or Cartels, who are the prime example. they're emboldened because they see themselves capable to the highest levels. where as; throughout human history, supreme shows of force or punishment generally tend to dissuade those except the most extreme (Colombine, VA Tech, Sandy Hook). And the shooting at schools only seemed to pop up once things like acceptance of a spanking or maybe earned phyiscal beating left society.

VodkaVeins 5/24/2022 2:24:04 PM
I dont really care if they rot in prison vs a mental institution, either.

RAGINGFUCKMAN 5/24/2022 2:24:58 PM
im not trying to say that what you're saying, Vodka, isn't the usual and best way to deal with it in an advanced/progressive/humane society... but there's a real trend in the amount who I feel know they can do this and live to see another day.

God 5/24/2022 2:25:42 PM
Do you guys think these really good, highly paid crisis actors? Like who's the Jeremy Irons?

Kvin 5/24/2022 2:27:33 PM
I've said this before and I'll say it again, a majority of these are "mental illness" cases and the shooter has had red flags for a while. It's time to completely rework the way mental health specialists handle red flag incidents. Instead of saying here's some pills or work on these breathing techniques before you smother that small bird, something different needs to be done. That shit works on people are struggling with breakups or have crippling depression.
