fuck hardcore

If the only music you listen to is hardcore and/or metal, then you're an idiot. While I certainly have a large place in my heart for heavy music, it's certainly not all I listen to. Not even close. So with this in mind, please allow me to suggest purchasing Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key Of Life. This 1976 album is amazing, plain and simple. So while you're here, please leave a comment and mention a non-hardcore/metal album that people should check out. Some of my other top choices (I've omitted obvious choices) include:

The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Inner Mounting Flame
Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park
Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs
The Cardigans - Gran Turismo

agree with the dredg, most fine, but also any of Phil Glass's film scores, especially" the Fog of War" and the reason why most good music is obscure and underground is because the masses are fcking stupid and couldn't tell greatness if Ryan Seacrest fell out of the sky with it written on his chest

Fugazi, for fcks sake, nobody mentioned them either. All of their shit is good, but The Argument is amazing. 4. Normally, people that like this band are horrible and should be burnt alive, but I happen to like the Cure. 5. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. This band is from Argentina, they mix a million styles of music. They m

fck yes!! i had completely forgotten about this blog. You spoke out exactly what i am thinking. There is so much good music out there. Right now i am listening to Brian Wilson's Smile, Silverchair, Black Sabbath, Ludwig van Beethoven, Nick Drake, Korn - issues, Genesis, Beach Boys - pet sounds. All i can say is that is worth taking a look beyond hardcore/metal music .

max_ 3/1/2005 8:37:29 AM

and by the way, it's nice to see that quite a few people here listen to various different styles of music, other than hardcore/metal.

it may not be classified as only HC or metal, but definately everything i like is heavy, noisy. So what, who are you to say if you're not into another style of music that you suck? I bet your stevie wonder would listen to a band like Dalek, or maybe The Locust, or maybe Megadeth, or Slayer and think anyone whom listens to that is a mental patient, or a psycho, and would laugh in his face. That is speaking of almost everyone who comes to this site, so f that guy, b/c i can predict that much.
