Shark Infested Daughters have debuted a new single featuring Frankie Palmeri of Emmure.
Metalcore/post-hardcore outfit Shark Infested Daughters has issued a music video for new single, "Cetra." The track features guest vocals from Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri and the video can be viewed below. The six-piece, Canadian band commented on the song: "'Cetra' portrays the stages of grief after loss, drawing metaphor from flowers growing in desolation. From death comes life, and we are granted a new perspective when all seems lost. The thesis of the song is to not dwell on the past and continue pressing forward, despite the urge to dwell in remorse and self pity. We must continue to grow." Meanwhile, director Robert Elofsson had this to say: "I wanted to achieve a sense of tension and struggle, primarily via the lack of colors and strong contrast throughout the song. Each section of the song is portrayed with a different atmosphere, coming to a dark climax with the ebb and flow of the music. As the song comes to an end, we wanted to give the sense of hope and resolve by transitioning out of the black and white with the strong presence and beautiful melody of Erika Leah's chorus."
