Supporting a drug-free lifestyle, and playing music that is reminiscent of angry, old-school hardcore, such as Chain of Strength, Virginia's Count Me Out have been playing shows since late-1997, and have two notable releases to date. "Few and Far Between," a six-song CD on Ambassador Records, was released in 1999. Since then, the band has stepped it up by joining the Indecision Records roster (Bleeding Through, Throwdown), and releasing its most recent effort, "110," in 2000. The band has gone on numerous tours, sharing the stage with Strike Anywhere, Faded Grey, American Nightmare, Bane, and Carry On. Count Me Out will soon be recording its second full-length in 2002, entitled "Permanent," for Indecision Records, as well as a split seven-inch with Strike Anywhere for Equal Vision Records. With powerful and driving guitar riffs, throaty vocals, and plenty of sing-alongs and finger pointing, Count Me Out should appeal to fans of the old school. read less
