I'll never understand why so many people claim this to be the pinnacle in Cannibal Corpse's career. Perhaps because it's a turning point into a different sound of the death metal they had been playing. When this album is good, it's damn good; unfortunately it's just utterly boring for the majority of the album. 4/10

Please ignore the first reviewer's post. Though, he is correct that it isn't the pinnacle of their career, this album is incredible and undoubtedly one of the top three CC albums. It is arguably, their heaviest album. Every song has merit, there are no boring lapses, and the musicianship is beyond belief. Jack Owen's last hoorah with CC and he should be proud.
