Yesterday Converge began tracking their next album for Epitaph Records. The group, with the guidance of guitarist Kurt Ballou, is engineering and producing the effort themselves. According to the band, "No need to bring anyone else in, not when we have the ability to collectively create the album we artistically envision."

The album will consist of roughly thirteen songs, of which the band states, "These songs are a freight train, to us sounding larger and harder than any of our previous efforts."
