Official press release:

Eclectic Boston, MA progressive rock/post-metal band Irepress has completed work on its sophomore album, entitled Sol Eye Sea I. The genre-hopping release will drop on February 17, 2009 via Translation Loss Records.

The follow up to the quintet's instrumental debut, Samus Octology, Sol Eye Sea I sees Irepress (pronounced: ear-press) extending its already wide-reaching sound to include heightened passages of deftly layered polyrhythmic metal, progressive rock, jazz fusion, atmospheric drum and bass and spacious shoegaze. While the diversity of the album may seem an intimidating listen to some, for a band that has shared the stage with the varied likes of Dalek, Hatebreed, Kool Keith, Isis, Masta Killa and Zombi over the course of its career, the adroit musical detours are simply a routine Sunday drive.

Irepress' highly original songwriting and wondrous musicianship connect to euphoric results on Sol Eye Sea I. The band's musical mélange is strong enough to readily find appeal with fans of Battles, Cynic and Explosions in the Sky alike.

The complete track listing for Sol Eye Sea I is as follows:

1. Diaspora
2. Rhintu
3. Barrageo
4. Daniel Sen
5. Cyette Phiur
6. Fletchie
7. Adeluge
8. Billy
9. Entanglement

An advance listen as to what Sol Eye Sea I holds in store is available now as the expansive new Irepress track "Cyette Phiur" has been posted online at this location.
