California's Dear Life (Uprising Records) has announced the departure of singer Kevin Castellon. The group has issued the following statement:
"As of today, Dear Life will be parting ways with our vocalist, Kevin Castellon. This decision was made as a band and there are no hard feelings between us or him. We sincerely thank him for all he has done for and with us over the past 4 years and wish him the best in whatever life may bring him.
"Currently, Dear Life has already begun to write and record new music for our upcoming album and plan on heading into the studio this winter. Obviously, we are now looking for a vocalist.
"We are looking for someone who can handle our new material as well as be able to perform our past stuff. Although we have already begun trying out a few people, we are very much still open to anyone interested. If you are serious about trying out, we can do so through a variety of methods which will further be explained to those who inquire.
"Please send all questions and comments to daniel@dearxlife.com or message us on our Myspace page. Thanks to all, and we look forward to showing your our new stuff! It's seriously got us stoked and we know a new vocalist would enjoy it as well!"
