BIOGRAPHICAL DATA: Hailing from Syracuse, New York, and featuring one-time One King Down vocalist Jon Peters, Spark Lights The Friction plays aggressive, but catchy melodic rock. The unit began in mid-1999, as four friends coming together to create unique music based on various influences and styles. The band soon began to realize its own potential, and began playing shows in the local area to hone their craft. At this point, one of SLTF's guitarists would leave for a brief hiatus, and the band would become a trio. Nevertheless, the group would continue to forge ahead by writing new material, and heading to the recording studio. The end product would be its "Cocaine Honeymoon" CDEP for Hex Records, as well as a split release with Ruined in a Day for Alone Records. Following numerous shows, SLTF would become a quartet again and the band would find a new home on Trustkill Records. The band's latest offering, "L'Homme Robotik," was SLTF's debut full-length for Trustkill. Since its inception, Spark has played shows with a bevy of bands, and participated in Hellfest. Fans of aggressive hardcore with a melodic-rock tilt should check out their stuff. Sadly, the group broke up in early-2002.
